A cave near Beroun in Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. Two partial skulls from this site are associated with Szeletian (early Upper Palaeolithic) artefacts. They are of broadly Cromagnon type but also have surviving Neanderthal features, as is typical at this time. There are no radiocarbon dates from this site, but dates for the Szeletian generally fall between 45,000 and 25,000 bc.
