A tell settlement of the Middle and Late Neolithic period, located near Giurgiu in the lower Danube Valley, southeast Rumania. Excavated by D. Rosetti, the site has a four-metre stratigraphy with five main occupation horizons; I, a Boian level, separated by a thin silt level from IIA, a Boian-GUMELNITA transitional level, including intra-mural burial; IIIB-IIID, three Gumelnija levels, the last very poor in finds, the first two with rich metal finds, including gold pendants and copper pins and earrings.
