The largest known hoard of this period, it contains almost 6000 pieces weapons, axes, horse harness and ornaments, with a total weight of cl 100 kgs of metal. This concentration of metal reflects the intensive exploitation of Transylvanian minerals in the Late Bronze Age; of 360 hoards in Rumania in this period, 320 derive from Transylvania. The site also lies close to one of the richest sources of salt in Transylvania.
