Late Archaic Tradition of northeast North America. It is characterized by stemmed points and knives, which may have evolved form the Piedmont Tradition. Susquehanna is also the name of Iroquoian-speaking American Indians who lived in palisaded towns along the Susquehanna River in what are now New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
