A farm southwest of Hopefield in Cape Province, South Africa, and 25 km southeast of Saldanha Bay, which has produced several Palaeolithic cultures and a human skull somewhat like that of Broken Hill. The skull is believed to be associated with late Acheulian tools and may be 100,000 or so years old. Traces of ‘Middle Stone Age’ and ‘Late Stone Age’ tools were also found.
