Tavşanlı (tavsanli) Mound is located in the northwest of Kütahya city center; 2 km away from Tavşanlı; on the left bank of Kocasu Stream; in the plain with the same name. The mound consists of two parts: Upper City and Lower City [Efe 2000b:109]. The lower city is spread over an area of approximately 200 m. First identified by J. Mellaart; the mound, which is 450x300 m in size and 10 m high, is currently used as a field. In this place, which was introduced with the presence of a beak-mouthed jug [Özgüç 1944:66-67]; pieces of dark red paint-lined; burnished ware were found. It is seen that the handles were twisted. Kusura B; Demircihöyük is compared with the Early Bronze Age cultures of the Isparta Plain with forms such as deep bowl; high neck; outward-drawn mouthed pot. There are both hand-made and wheel-made pieces. The findings have been published in detail [Özgüç 1946:558-565;l ev.LXXV-LXXVII]. It is included in the registered archaeological site list prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye.
